The Science department are running a trip to the Large Hadron Collider at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland. The trip will include 2 half days at The CERN Facility, where students will be shown around some of the areas contained within the Large Hadron Collider and research centre. We hope that the opportunity to attend the LHC will inspire our students and raise aspirations during their studies.

It is with great pleasure that we are able to share details of our Year 10 GCSE Battlefields Tour in 2025. As part of their Paper 1 unit based on Medicine on the Western Front 1914-1918, students will be given the exciting opportunity to access some of the major sites that we discuss in our History classrooms. Indeed, this is a unique opportunity to increase students’ curiosity and strengthen their understanding of this Unit.

We are excited that our students have the opportunity to visit the beautiful city of Boulogne, France! Students will have the opportunity to explore an exciting new culture, visit the local shops, a local aquarium, enjoy a picnic on the beach, visit a traditional chocolaterie and even experience an authentic French bakery where they prepare their traditional baguettes and pastries. What better way to finish the experience than by taking a walk through the historic Old Town with a freshly made pain au chocolat! This is an excellent opportunity for students to put into practice all of the French that they have learnt to date.
