Orton/Ormiston Bushfield Academy Library

Ormiston Bushfield Library is a joint facility available for use by our students and the general public. The library is an exciting place where students mix with members of the public in an open and friendly environment.
The library comprises adult, children’s and reference library services. We currently have in stock in excess of 36,000 items including fiction, non-fiction, reference, DVD and CD material. The library also has a suite of 10 computers, available to all users.

Students are encouraged to join the library and make full use of the facilities during a Library Induction programme in Year 7. Ormiston Bushfield students also benefit from having a member of library staff to support the Academy and students’ needs. The library is open to students throughout the academy day for book selection, reading and research.

6th Form Library Use

Specific resources aimed at 6th form courses can be found in the School Resources section. 6th form students make use of the Library throughout the day, either as part of a taught lesson or for individual study/research.
